Fruit Fly Producing Cultures

Flightless fruit flies (Drosophila hydei) are approximately ⅛" long and make an excellent
feeder insect for small reptiles, dart frogs, mantids, jumping spiders, and other
invertebrates.

These established cultures are actively producing flies and are ready to use
immediately upon arrival. They are around 2-3 weeks old at the time of shipment and
should contain a mixture of flies and fly larvae. Peak production should occur shortly
after receipt and will typically continue for an additional 2–3 weeks. This option is ideal if
you need fruit flies to feed right away
