Fruit Fly Fresh Cultures

Flightless fruit flies (Drosophila hydei) are approximately ⅛" long and make an excellent
feeder insect for small reptiles, dart frogs, mantids, jumping spiders, and other
invertebrates.

These newly made cultures are typically less than one week old. Each culture will arrive
with a minimum of 30 live flies and will begin producing additional flies within
approximately 1–2 weeks, depending on temperature. Production should continue for
4–5 weeks or until the culture media is exhausted. This option is ideal if you're looking
for a longer-lasting, more consistent supply of fruit flies.

Note: During development, there may be a brief period when few or no adult flies are
visible because the existing flies have died and the next generation is still pupating. This
is normal, and new adult flies should begin emerging shortly
