Silkworm cups come with silkworms, chow and material for them to climb on. These cups are designed to
be stored upside down with the food ontop so that the waste falls down for easy cleaning. Silkworms can
grow fast when kept at room temperature up to 80 degrees, often doubling in size nearly every week.
The food can last up to 2 weeks for 20 silkworms when kept at room temperature. To slow the growth of the worms you can keep them cooler (60 degrees) which may extend the life and food by an additional 1-2
weeks. If it's too cold the worms will stop eating and die.

Silkworms are a great feeder for a variety of reptiles and very hard to find! We have a limited number of
silkworm cups available each week. Due to the silkworm batch rotation we have the sizes will vary from
small (3/8”) to slightly larger (1”).  At 1” they grow fast and become more hardy.

If they reach 2-3” in length they are at the size to begin spinning a cocoon and will fall to the bottom
of the cup. You may need to purchase additional food if you want them to reach this size.

If mold starts to grow in the cup, carefully remove it so that it does not spread. The mold is usually caused
by excessive moisture.

I have been raising silkworms off and on for 20 years now. Every year is different. So far these look healthy.

These looked better this time. They were a little bigger than the first order for most part.
