​How to Properly Fill Out Your Information When Placing an Order

When placing an online order, most people expect a certain level of ease and convenience. You can order online and then have your goods magically appear on your doorstep within a matter of days. It’s great! There are many things that have to happen to allow such an easy shopping experience for you and that list starts with you filling out your shipping and contact information correctly.

How to fill out your address

When you go to place your order, you are going to need to fill out your shipping information. It is super important that this information is correct. If your shipping information is incorrect, we may not be able to ship the package at all. When we go to print a shipping label, the address needs to be verified by the carrier before it will let us ship the order. You also risk the package getting all the way to your town and then being turned around and shipped right back to the seller. When a package is returned to the sender, it is likely due to an incorrect address. This will cause you to have to wait even longer to receive your package. Below is the correct way to fill out your address.

Company Name: This line can be used if your package is being delivered to a business or other establishment that is not a house. This may help the carrier find the address and deliver the package to the correct place. If you are having the package delivered to your home, you should leave this blank.

Name: It is important to include your first and last name. Should there be an issue delivering your package, your post office may be able to contact you or find your correct address using your name.

Address/Address Line 1: This is where you should put your house number and street name.

Address Line 2: This is where you should put any additional information about your address. This may include your apartment number or letter, lot number or unit number. You can also put information such as where you would like the package delivered such as “back building”, “front porch” or “house in front.” If you have no special instructions or information for the carrier, you should leave this part blank

City: This is where you need to put the city that the address is located in.

State: Select the state where your address is located.

Postal Code: Include the full postal code for the address.

Why do we need your phone number?

It is important that you include your phone number should there be any issues with shipping your order. A phone call is typically the easiest way to contact a customer in a hurry. It is also important so that if your package is being held at the post office, they can call you when the bugs arrive. This will allow you to be notified and pick up your package as soon as possible. This will cut down on the chances of your bugs being dead on arrival. We promise not to send you texts when we are bored.

Do I need to include my email?

When placing an order online, you should always be sure to include an email address that you have access to and are able to check frequently. This is necessary because that is where we will send information about your order including confirmation and tracking information. We also may try to contact you here should there be any issues with packing or shipping your order. Entering your email will also add you to our mailing list. As a part of our email list, you will receive emails containing shipping updates, including delays, policy changes and information on our current live arrival guarantee terms. You will also receive emails containing coupon codes that are currently active and sales that may pop up. You can opt out of our emails at any time.

If you correctly include all of this information, it will allow us to process and ship your order without having to make any changes or attempt to get ahold of you. This will also help us to quickly and efficiently correct any errors or issues that may pop up during the shipping process.
